Virtuoso Hotels: Confirmed Upgrade at Booking 2024

Which Virtuoso Hotels Confirm an Upgrade at Booking in 2024? One of the top requests we receive from TravelSort clients is for a confirmed upgrade at booking. Most hotels only provide an upgrade at check-in, if one is available, but there are some hotels that will confirm a one category upgrade at the time of booking, if the next category is available at the time the reservation is made. There are also a few hotel preferred partner programs (Peninsula PenClub, Hyatt Prive, Shangri-La Luxury Circle, and Oetker Pearl Partner) that provide a confirmed upgrade at time of booking, which we note below.

Shangri-La Luxury Circle confirms an upgrade at time of booking, for select room categories only (note there are no room to suite confirmed upgrades, and no upgrades from regular rooms to Horizon Club rooms)
Hyatt Prive can confirm an upgrade within 24 hours of TravelSort making the request, but this is not guaranteed; it does depend on whether the hotel anticipates high occupancy during the stay dates.
Oetker Collection confirms one category room to room or suite to suite upgrades at time of booking, if the next category is available when booking.
