There is no definitive 5/24 info on the new Chase Iberia CC? Is it like the BA and Hyatt with no 5/24 restrictions or like the United & Southwest?
James, the new Iberia card used to not fall under Chase 5/24 (similar to BA Visa) but currently all Chase cards are subject to 5/24. It may be possible to see “Selected for You” offers when logged in online to your Chase account, which would bypass Chase 5/24.

Do you have a recommended alternative to Hibistat Wipes, I understand they have been discontinued.
Liz, correct–unfortunately the Hibistat wipes were discontinued some years ago. It is still possible to buy the Hibiclens cleansing solution, either in a large container https://amzn.to/2v12gAN or as individual packets of solution, https://amzn.to/2T99ACg although you’ll need to use Hibiclens with water to cleanse hands effectively. To be honest, thorough hand washing (20 seconds scrubbing hands with soap and water) is better than most hand sanitizers or sanitizing wipes currently on the market, although hand sanitizers with high alcohol content can certainly help if it’s impossible to wash hands thoroughly.
Hilary, thanks you, I thought I was missing something. It sounds like the Hibiclens is not really a good alternative. I agree, yes soap and water and maybe use regular Clorox wipes on surfaces as needed. Thanks so much for your quick reply!

Hi Hilary, my flight from HKG to LHR (one way) was unfortunately cancelled by Virgin, and they have since scrapped the route. I’ve transferred amex points to purchase this and now I am stuck with virgin points, and having to rebook flights. Virgin offered to contact KLM or their partner airlines but we have not heard back. We are trying to contact amex now (are plat members) to at least get the points reversed, anything else you recommend we should do? It is also near impossible to find a reasonable route via redemption on this route right as we are… Read more »
Unfortunately the only circumstance we’ve seen where AMEX was willing to reverse a transfer was very soon after the transfer was made, due to an airline partner’s phantom award availability which meant that the itinerary was unable to be booked. We haven’t heard of anyone being able to reverse a transfer because the airline in question ultimately cancelled the flight, although if you’re successful please do comment. We’d recommend you redeem Virgin Flying Club miles on partners; fortunately they don’t expire.
