Fly Aer Lingus Business Class to Europe for 48K Miles

.

Fly Aer Lingus Business Class to Europe from 47,500 miles per person from the West Coast (SFO, LAX) to Dublin or 50K-60K miles per person, depending on travel dates, from Chicago ORD, Washington, DC IAD, or Hartford BDL to Dublin this summer. It's easy to connect from Dublin to other destinations in Europe, if you don't plan to stay in the Emerald Isle.

Reserve with Alaska Mileage Plan miles; from the East Coast cities above, it will be 45K-55K miles each way, with lower taxes and fees than the ~$150 per person British Airways and Aer Lingus charge. That said, Chase Ultimate Rewards points and AMEX Membership Rewards points don't transfer to Alaska, so British Airways or Aer Lingus will be your best bet if you have transferable points but don't already have Alaska Airlines miles. Aer Lingus awards can also be booked with United MileagePlus miles, but it's considerably more expensive, at 88,000 miles each way.

Where to Stay in Ireland

We recommend The Merrion in Dublin, although be sure to stay in the Main House and not the Annex. Try 2-Michelin star restaurant, Patrick Guilbaud at the hotel for an excellent French inspired lunch or dinner. We also highly recommend a castle hotel stay, especially Ashford Castle in County Mayo. Lake view rooms and suites afford gorgeous views of Lough Corrib. We can assist TravelSort Clients with reservations that include Virtuoso benefits, such as upgrades, complimentary breakfast, and hotel credit.
