Fly Iberia Business Class to Europe from 41K points, using British Airways Avios, with the best availability in August 2027. Europe, especially southern Europe, is extremely hot then, so we recommend sticking with northern and alpine destinations, such as Scandinavia, the Italian Dolomites, Swiss Alps such as Verbier, Iceland, Scotland, and Ireland.
Off-peak Avios rates are 41,000 Avios from Boston BOS, Chicago ORD, New York JFK, Newark EWR, San Juan SJU, Toronto YYZ and Washington, DC IAD, or 51,000 from Dallas DFW, Miami MIA, and Orlando MCO, while peak rates are from 59K miles for the first set of cities and 74K for DFW, MIA and MCO.

Where to Stay in Madrid
In Madrid, we loved our stay in the Four Seasons Madrid, which enjoys al fresco dining on the rooftop terrace at Dani Brasserie (which is also where our Four Seasons Preferred Partner clients enjoy complimentary breakfast daily). Don't miss the sunlit atrium swimming pool and sun terrace.

The Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, by the Prado Museum, is more classically elegant in style, and has a fantastic breakfast buffet.

The Thompson Madrid is another option, although we've had mixed service experiences during our multiple stays there.

As mentioned, we recommend northern destinations in summer given how hot Spain and southern Italy are. For example, Ballyfin in Ireland.
