Airelles Le Guanahani opens on November 1, 2026, as the French luxury brand takes over from its predecessor, Rosewood Le Guanahani, in time for the 2026-2027 festive season. The resort, which is Airelles' first beach property, was independently operated prior to being managed by Rosewood, and was wholly renovated prior to its 2021 opening, so is still quite fresh. Airelles is retaining existing staff.
So why the change? Le Guanahani was owned by David Bonderman, founder of Texas Pacific Group (TPG), and upon his death in late 2024, his heirs chose to sell the hotel, which triggered the exit clause in Rosewood's management contract. Airelles is unusual as a hotel group in that it owns its hotels (apart from Airelles Le Grand Contrôle Versailles, since the palace is owned by France), instead of only managing them.

Getting to Airelles Le Guanahani
Airelles Le Guanahani is located about a 15 minute drive from the airport SBH. There are no direct flights to St. Barts from North America, so guests who don't fly private tend to take Tradewind Aviation from San Juan SJU or Anguilla, or Winair from St. Maarten SXM.

Airelles Rooms and Suites
The resort's 29 rooms, 27 suites, and 10 signature suites are in freestanding bungalows that feature either garden or ocean views. In keeping with the tropical island setting, the renovated interiors have playful design details and color accents, with ample natural light streaming in from French windows.

Dining and Amenities
The resort enjoys two beaches, Grand Cul-de-Sac Lagoon Beach, which is calmer, and thus better for paddle boarding and kayaking, and Maréchal Beach, on the other side of the peninsula.
The Beach House Pool offers an infinity pool and direct access to the beach, and for ultimate tranquility, the Spa Pool is exclusively for adults.
The Airelles Spa offers a complete range of massages and facial treatments, with products by Laboratoires Botanique Avancée.
La Table du Guanahani is the resort's main restaurant, and is complemented by The Pool Bar for light bites, The Library Bar, and The Pélican. There are also many great local dining options, so we recommend renting a car to also dine outside the resort.
