10 Reasons to Get the 100K Ink Business Unlimited

10 Reasons to Get the 100K Ink Business Unlimited

.

These are the last 2 days to get the 100K Ink Business Unlimited, since the bonus offer expires 9am ET on 9/17. The card's a fantastic deal, and if you already have it (or if you have high spend on Internet, cable, phone services, and/or office supply stores, you could instead get the 100K Ink Business Cash.

1. 100,000 Ultimate Rewards Points Bonus

Not many credit cards offer a signup bonus of 100,000 points. Note that as this is a business card, the bonus requires an $8000 minimum spend within four months after account opening. That's still pretty low minimum spend, however, compared to the $30,000 minimum spend for the 200K Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card.

.

2. No Annual Fee

Both the Ink Business Unlimited (as well as its sister card, the Ink Business Cash) have NO annual fee. That's similar to the AMEX Blue Business Plus, but that card only has a paltry 15,000 points signup bonus, which can't compare to the current 100K bonus for both Ink Business no annual fee cards.

.

3. Earn 1.5X Points per Dollar on All Spend

Earn 1.5X points per dollar on all spend: no need to remember which categories are the bonus categories. Of course, as mentioned above, if your business does have high spend on phone, Internet, cable, and/or office supply stores, the Ink Business Cash card is likely better, as it earns 5X points per dollar on the first $25,000 per year spend in those categories.

.

4. Primary Rental Car Coverage

Primary rental car insurance when renting for business purposes is a great benefit, since it means that you don't involve your own car insurance, which is likely to result in higher car insurance premiums. Simply ensure that you decline the rental car company's CDW when renting a car, and use the Ink Business Unlimited. Note that you'll still need to pay for third party liability coverage. The primary CDW benefit provides reimbursement up to $60,000 for theft and collision damage for most rental vehicles with an MSRP of $125,000 or less. Also note that primary rental car coverage only applies if the rental is for business or commercial purposes; if the rental is for personal reasons, the coverage is secondary.

.

5. Purchase Protection

When you make business purchases using the Ink Business Unlimited, they're covered for 120 days after purchase against theft and damage, up to $10,000 per item and up to $50,000 per account, although note that a number of things aren't covered, for example animals, living plants, antiques, motorized vehicles, items purchased for resale, computer software, medical equipment, perishables and consumables such as cosmetics, etc. See the benefits guide. Also note that coverage is limited to the lesser of:

  • The cost to repair the item
  • The cost to replace the item with an item of like kind and quality
  • The amount charged to the Covered Card and/or the rewards points used (excluding shipping and handling)

.

6. Extended Warranty Coverage

You receive an additional year of warranty coverage, up to $10,000 per claim.

.

7. Lost Luggage Protection

If you use the Ink Business Unlimited for at least a portion of your airfare, any luggage lost by the airline is covered up to $3000 (up to $500 per person for jewelry, watches, electronics).

.

8. Coverage is Provided Even if Only a Portion of Trip Paid for with the Card

Unlike AMEX, which generally requires that you paid for the full amount of the trip using your AMEX card, the Ink Business Unlimited allows you to be covered for the lost luggage protection and travel accident coverage even if only a portion of the trip was paid for with the Ink Business Unlimited card.

.

9. Great Way to Earn Additional Points to Transfer to Ultimate Rewards Partners

While you can cash out Ink Business Unlimited points for 1% cash back, the real value is to transfer out to Ultimate Rewards partners, by also holding an Ink Business Preferred, Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business, Chase Sapphire Reserve, or Chase Sapphire Preferred.

.

10. Doesn't Count Towards Chase 5/24

While you'll need to be under Chase 5/24 (fewer than 5 credit card applications within the past 24 months) to apply for the Ink Business Preferred, it doesn't count towards Chase 5/24, since it's a business card and isn't reported to the credit bureaus.

Will you get the 100K Ink Business Unlimited?
