The Thompson Rome will open in mid-2024 as the first Thompson hotel in Italy and the second Thompson hotel in Europe, after the Thompson Madrid. Europe's third Thompson hotel will be the Thompson Vienna, in 2025.

Thompson Rome Location
The Thompson Rome will be located at Via delle Botteghe Oscure, 4, a 7 minute walk from Capitoline Hill, an 8 minute walk from the Roman Forum, a 12 minute walk from the Trevi Fountain, and a 17 minute walk from the Colosseum. Rome Fiumicino airport (FCO) is a 25-55 minute drive, depending on traffic.

Thompson Rome Amenities
Housed in a historic 1930s palazzo that was formerly the headquarters of the Italian Communist Party, the building will undergo an extensive renovation while preserving this piece of Italian history. Architectural features that will be preserved include the Giò Pomodoro-designed entrance hall, with a five-pointed gold star set into the floor, as well as a marble bust of the Italian Communist Party’s founding member and one-time leader, Antonio Gramsci.
There will be 70 rooms and suites and four restaurants, including a rooftop restaurant and terrace with a cocktail bar that will enjoy panoramic city views. There will also be a fitness center.
