Four Seasons Silicon Valley Palo Alto Review and Photos

Earlier this year we revisited the Four Seasons Silicon Valley in East Palo Alto due to having meetings at Stanford over a couple consecutive days. The hotel has been open twenty years, given its 2006 debut, but it's been maintained well, and in 2026 debuted redesigned one-bedroom suites.

Four Seasons Palo Alto Location

Located at 2050 University Avenue, just off of the 101 freeway (take Exit 403 from 101 South), the hotel is about a 25-minute drive from San Francisco Airport (SFO) without traffic, or about 40 minutes or more with heavier traffic. It's a 10-13 minute drive to Stanford University.

Four Seasons Palo Alto Rooms and Suites

The hotel has 200 guest rooms and suites. We were in a Premier Room with a king bed. Premier Rooms are 450 sq. ft. and are located on floors 5-10, while the category below it, Deluxe Rooms (one king or two double beds), are 420 sq. ft. and are on floors 3-10. Entry-level Superior Rooms are 405-450 sq. ft. and on lower floors. We arrived in the evening, so our room already had been given turndown service.

After a busy day, and not having had much dinner, it was nice to come back to a fresh fruit bowl welcome amenity, as well as chocolates and bottled water:

The bathroom isn't state of the art (a barn door rather than full door separates the toilet from the sink area, and there's no rain shower), but there are dual sinks/vanities and a separate soaking tub.

We enjoyed the French Diptyque bath products.

I also liked that in addition to the Nespresso machine, there was also a hot water kettle for tea, without my having to request it.

Keep in mind that the mini bar is automated, where you're charged automatically if you move items, so you really can't store items in it.

For those wanting great natural light, I'd recommend one of the Vista Superior One Bedroom Suites, a corner suite.

Four Seasons Palo Alto Outdoor Swimming Pool

Accessible from the third floor, by the Spa and Fitness Center, the heated outdoor swimming pool brings a resort touch to the hotel.

The breakfast menu offered quite a bit of variety, especially for a non-resort property:

Our server very kindly started us off with complimentary freshly squeezed juice shots and matcha energy balls:

My husband and I chose to share a couple dishes. The Golden Slam, with fried chicken and Nashville hot sauce atop ricotta pancakes, served with a fried egg and brown butter maple syrup, was absolutely delicious. I love when breakfast menus include more unusual choices, such as this one.

The Acai Bowl, a more common breakfast menu offering, also impressed with its execution, including housemade granola, banana and ripe berries, goji berries, and bee pollen.

The Verdict

Four Seasons Silicon Valley in East Palo Alto is a convenient base for those traveling for work in Silicon Valley or visiting Stanford University. While it's by the highway, the hotel has excellent sound proofing, and we slept extremely well. The outdoor pool is a great place to relax, and our breakfast was well-presented and delicious.
