Four Seasons Dominican Republic Tropicalia is expected to open in early 2026 as the fourth Four Seasons in the Caribbean after Four Seasons Anguilla, Four Seasons Bahamas The Ocean Club and Four Seasons Nevis.
Getting to Four Seasons Dominican Republic Tropicalia
The resort will be located on pristine beachfront in Playa Esmeralda, on the southern coast of Samana Bay, about a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ), served by nonstop flights from Atlanta, Austin, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Houston, Miami, New York JFK, Newark, Orlando, Philadelphia, and Washington Dulles, among others.

Four Seasons Resort Dominican Republic Tropicalia
The resort will feature 95 rooms and suites designed by Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld (also known for Hotel Fasano in Sao Paulo), as well as 25 Four Seasons Private Residences with three or four bedrooms, ideal for extended families. Guests will be able to dine at a specialty restaurant, beachside grill, poolside bar, ceviche bar, juice bar, coffee shop, and rum bar.
Other resort amenities include a fitness center and spa, including a yoga pavilion; water sports; tennis and Pickleball; and a complimentary Kids for All Seasons Kids' Club.
Nearby water activities include sailing, scuba diving, seasonal whale-watching, and observing and helping to protect sea turtles in their natural habitat. Land excursions include Los Haitises National Park, an explorer’s paradise with limestone hill formations (mogotes), mangrove forests, ancient caverns with Taíno pictographs and petroglyphs, and abundant wildlife. For golf lovers, Tropicalia’s Tom Doak golf course is expected to open after the completion of the new Four Seasons Resort.
