1. Capella Kyoto: March 2026

Capella Kyoto opened on March 23, 2026 (delayed from a previously planned Q4 2025 opening) as the first Capella hotel in Japan in the Higashiyama District, walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera and Gion. Designed by Japanese architect Kengo Kuma and Associates, there are 89 rooms and suites in the four-story building, which surrounds a central Japanese garden courtyard. 2. Four Seasons Mykonos: Late Summer, 2026

Four Seasons Mykonos will open in summer 2026 as the first Greek island Four Seasons, set cascade-style, on about 650,000 square feet of land leading from coastal cliffs down to the beach. There will be 94 rooms, suites, and villas designed by renowned Greek architect Nicos Valsamakis in the quintessential Cycladic style of white cubic architecture with whitewashed courtyards, traditional pathways and picturesque piazzas.

3. Bulgari Ranfushi Maldives: Late 2026

Bulgari Resort Ranfushi Maldives will open in late 2026 as the tenth Bulgari hotel and the second Bulgari resort, after the Bulgari Resort Bali. Located in Raa Atoll (also home to Joali and Joali Being), there will be 54 accommodations, designed by Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel Architects (Bulgari Hotel Roma, Bulgari Hotel Tokyo, Capella Kenting in Taiwan, among others). 33 are beach villas, each with a private pool; 20 are overwater villas; and for a splurge, the exclusive Bulgari Villa on its own private island.

4. Danieli, a Four Seasons Hotel, Venice: August 26, 2026

Danieli will open on August 26 as the fourth Four Seasons in Italy following an extensive 30 million Euro renovation. That said, we recommend waiting to reserve it until 2027, after the spa opens in late 2026 and the full renovation and enhancement is complete.

5. Amanvari: July 2026

At long last, Aman's Los Cabos resort (near Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas) will open, after a protracted delay.

6. Airelles Venezia, Venice: April 24, 2026

Airelles Venezia in Venice, Italy is the ninth Airelles property and the first outside of France. The property was once the site of the Bauer Palladio Hotel and comprises three historically significant buildings, as well as a church and extensive gardens of nearly 2.5 acres. There are 45 newly renovated rooms and suites, 23 of them in the Palladio building that was designed in the 16th century by architect Andrea Palladio. Next to the Palladio is the four-bedroom Presidential Suite, with a magnificent view of Piazza San Marco. The remaining rooms and suites are in the Conventino, a tranquil retreat that overlooks the gardens.

7. La Reserve Firenze, Florence: June 2026

Visiting Florence with family or friends? The new La Reserve Firenze, a former Florentine palazzo, could be the perfect base, with its six apartments that range from one to three bedrooms. Each has its own kitchen, dining, and living spaces, providing the comfort of a pied-à-terre, yet also with the convenience of full hotel services, including a rooftop terrace, secret bar, and Concierge team. The palazzo will also feature a rooftop terrace and a secret bar.

8. Zannier Île de Bendor: May 1, 2026

Zannier's rustic luxury ethos continues to expand, this time on the Île de Bendor, in the French Mediterranean. It was originally the getaway of Paul Ricard, who made a fortune after inventing pastis. The 93-room resort evokes the beauty of village life in Provence, albeit with the allure of fine restaurants, an art gallery, artisanal treats, and even a private beach with its own diving center. The rooms will run across three different sites, but the best will be the five two-story Madrague houses, each with its own private garden.

9. Baccarat Rome: Late 2026

Opening in late 2026 at Via Vittorio Veneto, 50, in the former Hotel Majestic, The Baccarat Rome will be walking distance from the Spanish Steps, with 87 rooms and suites designed by Pierre-Yves Rochon (The Emory, London; Four Seasons Florence; Four Seasons George V, Paris, among other luxury hotels).

10. Corinthia Rome: March 2026

Corinthia Rome is part of the Eternal City's several recent and upcoming new luxury hotel openings, from Rocco Forte House, Six Senses Rome, and Orient Express La Minerva, to the upcoming Baccarat Rome and Thompson Rome. Located in the building that previously housed the Central Bank of Italy, at 18, Piazza Del Parlamento, the new hotel, with 60 rooms and suites, is a short walk to the Spanish Steps, about a 20-minute walk to the Roman Forum and 27-minute walk to the Colosseum.

12. The Park Gstaad, a Four Seasons Hotel: Late 2026

The Park Gstaad Hotel, a Four Seasons Hotel will open in late 2026 for the 2026-2027 ski season, following extensive renovations. It will reopen for the 2026-27 ski season with 75 rooms and suites reimagined by French interior designer Joseph Dirand. During the winter months, Gstaad offers access to 136 miles (220 km.) of ski slopes at altitudes of up to 9842 feet (3000 meters), with equally beautiful settings in the summer that are perfect for hiking, mountain biking, and golf.

13. Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti: Late 2026

Palazzo Sozzini Malavolti provides competition to the only other luxury hotel in the heart of Siena, the Grand Hotel Continental, which is also near the Piazza del Campo. Part of Emblems, a new Accor luxury brand, the historic palazzo has been refreshed to offer 38 rooms and suites steeped in centuries of art and architecture. 14. Six Senses London: March 2026

The Six Senses London is the sixth Six Senses in Europe. Located at 149 Queensway in the Bayswater area of London, the hotel is a 14 minute walk from Kensington Gardens, and a 25 minute walk to the western part of Hyde Park. The new hotel is part of the redevelopment of The Whiteley London, the landmark building housed London’s first luxury department store.

15. Four Seasons Hanoi at Hoan Kiem Lake: Late 2026

The second Four Seasons in Vietnam, after The Four Seasons Resort Nam Hai, the Four Seasons Hanoi will boast views of Hoan Kiem Lake and the bustling streets leading to the Old and French Quarters. 16. The Vineta Hotel (Oetker Collection), Palm Beach: February, 2026

The Vineta Hotel in Palm Beach, an Oetker Collection property, opened in February 2026 following a complete renovation by Paris-based interior designer Tino Zervudachi, and will be Oetker Collection's 12th hotel. It's a gorgeous fresh face for Palm Beach, and ideal for those who prefer a luxury boutique property, since it will have only 41 spacious rooms and suites, all with fresh and bright interiors.

17. Cambridge House Hotel (Auberge Resorts), London: Q2 2026

The London debut for Auberge Resorts is in swanky Mayfair, in a Grade I listed building at 94 Piccadilly that was the onetime home of the Duke of Cambridge. It will have 102 rooms and suites designed by Jean-Louis Deniot, an open-air jasmine courtyard, a brasserie-style restaurant, and double-level Auberge Spa. The Spa includes hydrotherapy facilities, two heated swimming pools and seven treatment rooms, and a circular relaxation lounge, with a fire pit. Additional facilities include a gym, activity studios, wet zones, heat rooms and bathhouse.

18. Four Seasons Hotel Cartagena, Colombia: April 2026

Set just outside the UNESCO-listed Old Town Cartagena’s Walled City, the newly opened Four Seasons Cartagena is set within several beautifully restored landmarks, including the 16th-century San Francisco Temple and Club Cartagena, a 1920s beaux-arts masterpiece. Interior work was helmed by the late legendary French designer François Catroux, and his vision is particularly present in the 27 colonial-style rooms and suites within the hotel's heritage buildings. The eight dining and bar options include The Grand Grill in the former Club Cartagena for steaks and seafood; El Palmar for 360-degree rooftop views and Colombian-inspired lunches; Pizzeria Della Chiesa for Neapolitan-style pizza; El Aljibe as a speakeasy, and El Patio del Limonar for breakfast in an open-air courtyard.

19. Orient Express Venezia, Venice: April 2026

The second Orient Express hotel after the Orient Express Rome, the 15th-century palazzo has been reimagined as a boutique hotel, with only 47 rooms, suites, and residences, by architect and interior designer Aline Asmar d’Amman. The lobby, once an open stone courtyard, has been transformed into an opulent living room with sculpted wood paneling, rich velvet upholstery, and spectacular bespoke Murano chandeliers throughout. Through a gallery with a rotating selection of contemporary works lies a secret garden with antique gates opening to sophisticated tents lit by Venetian lanterns.

22. The Cooper, Charleston: March 2026

This new hotel is the only luxury option on Charleston's waterfront. It even has its own private marina, perfect for sunset and dinner cruises on its Hinkley yacht. The interiors of the 191 rooms and suites are by NYC-based Champalimaud Design (The Emory in London, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, The Four Seasons Naples Beach Club, among others). 23. Four Seasons The Biltmore Santa Barbara will reopen in 2026, following renovations. The reopening date has been pushed back from a previously anticipated late 2025 reopening, and is likely to be in late spring or early summer 2026. The hotel has been closed since 2020, during the pandemic. Enhancements include a wholly new adult pool, a 3557-square-foot free form family pool with a beach area and waterfall feature, and a 150-foot lazy river on the other side of the waterfall.
