1. Blackberry Farm and Blackberry Mountain, Walland, Tennessee

Blackberry Farm and its newer sibling, Blackberry Mountain, which opened in early 2019, are both wonderful choices for an extended family stay, since each offers several stand-alone homes with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring privacy, comfort, and social distancing from other guests. There's an abundance of outdoor pursuits, from paddleboarding to hiking and biking and from fishing to rock climbing.

2. Four Seasons Anguilla

Unfortunately Anguilla hasn't reopened yet, but the current estimate is that it will reopen November 1, 2020.

3. Amangiri, Canyon Point, Utah

Amangiri's new Camp Sarika, which just opened in July 2020, is perfect for extended families or small groups. It offers ten pavilions (some of them two bedroom pavilions, perfect for families), each with its own private plunge pool, fire pit, and outdoor shower (as well as spacious indoor bathroom). While Camp Sarika has its own communal lounge, restaurant, main pool, and two spa suites, it also has access to all of Amangiri's facilities, which are just minutes away by car.

4. Four Seasons Hualalai

Hawaii, as with Anguilla, isn't open yet (unless you're willing to quarantine for 14 days after getting there). While Hawaii is supposed to reopen to transpacific travel on September 1, we expect Hawaii to delay its reopening until October 2020 or later.

Unlike at many Four Seasons resorts, most of the private residence villas are not operated by Hualalai, so no Preferred Partner benefits apply and there's an additional fee that applies to be able to enjoy Hualalai amenities. It's also important to be aware that Four Seasons Hualalai hotel guests always get preferential pool and lounge chair seating and access to amenities. We do nonetheless advise clients on the best Hualalai villa rentals, and the pros and cons vs. Four Seasons Hualalai's own hotel operated villas and suites, such as the 3 bedroom Makaloa Villa and the 3 bedroom Hawaii Loa Presidential Villa.

Twin Farms Vermont: 4 Bedroom Farmhouse

Twin Farms is a legendary Virtuoso and Relais & Chateaux property that inspires great loyalty and returning guests. Its 20 unique cottages and cabins are popular with couples, for a romantic getaway, but it's also possible to reserve the 4 bedroom Farmhouse for the weekend and have it all to yourself. It includes four suites, each with a private entrance, a living room and bedroom, dressing area, gas fireplace, enclosed porch, along with a communal lounge and outdoor terrace with a jacuzzi hot tub.
