Hotel Romazzino, Belmond and Cheval Blanc Pitrizza, Sardinia

Romazzino, a Belmond Hotel and Cheval Blanc Pitrizza will mark LVMH's entry in Sardinia, Italy. For Belmond, Hotel Romazzino will be its 8th hotel in Italy, adding to its locations in Tuscany, Florence, Venice, Portofino, the Amalfi Coast, and two in Taormina, Sicily. For Cheval Blanc, Cheval Blanc Pitrizza will be its third hotel in Europe, after Cheval Blanc Paris, Cheval Blanc St. Tropez and Cheval Blanc Courchevel, and its sixth overall given Cheval Blanc Randheli in the Maldives and Cheval Blanc St. Barths.

Romazzino, a Belmond Hotel

The Romazzino is located at Via Romazzino, 4 on one of the loveliest white sand beaches in Costa Smeralda, about a 30 minute drive from Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (OLB), served by flights from London, Milan, Rome and seasonal flights from Paris, Madrid, Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, and many other European cities.

The hotel has reopened as a Belmond property, although renovations, helmed by Palomba Serafini Associati, will occur after its summer 2024 season. The hotel, which has 100 rooms and suites as well as private villas, offers both saltwater and a fresh water swimming pools, in addition to its beach. Activities include an outdoor fitness center with a view of the sea, Spa, yoga room, golf putting green, tennis, and water sports, including kayaking, sailing, and snorkeling.

Cheval Blanc Pitrizza

Hotel Pitrizza, also currently a Luxury Collection hotel, will continue to operate under Luxury Collection while being renovated, and will reopen as Cheval Blanc Pitrizza in 2026. With just 50 rooms and suites, it's a more exclusive and private retreat.

Both properties tend to get high marks for their views and natural beauty, and Pitrizza's food is also reviewed well, but Belmond and Cheval Blanc guests will expect a higher caliber of service than these hotels are currently known for.
