Fly Iberia Business Class to Europe from 32,000-46,000 Avios per person from Boston BOS, Chicago ORD, New York JFK, San Juan SJU or Washington Dulles IAD, or 40,000-57,000 Avios per person from Dallas DFW, Miami MIA, or Orlando MCO, or 47,000-69,000 from San Francisco SFO, thanks to the current 30% Chase transfer bonus to British Airways Avios, leveraging points earned from the Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Preferred, and Ink Business Preferred. Without the bonus, the off-peak rates for flights to Madrid from BOS, ORD, JFK, SJU and IAD is 41K Avios, peak dates at 59K Avios, while from DFW, MIA, and MCO off-peak is 51K Avios and peak dates are 74K Avios. Flights from SFO are 61,000 off-peak and 89,000 peak.
Those with Citi rewards cards can take advantage of the 40% transfer bonus to Qatar, although make sure that you're able to combine your Qatar Avios with British Airways Avios or Iberia Avios, since some of our clients have encountered problems trying to combine their British Airways and Qatar Avios.

Where to Stay in Madrid

The Mandarin Oriental Ritz Madrid, by the Prado Museum, is more classically elegant in style, and has a fantastic breakfast buffet.

The Thompson Madrid is another option, although we've had mixed service experiences during our multiple stays there.
