Looking to Travel to Europe in Summer 2022? There's Good SWISS Business Class Award Availability on the recently reinstated New York JFK to Geneva GVA route. Among business class products that fly nonstop from the U.S. to Europe, SWISS Business Class on the A330 is one of our favorites, especially if you're willing to pay to reserve “throne” seat 4A in the mini cabin of rows 4-5, situated behind First Class and in front of the main Business Class cabin. After seat 4A, we like throne seats 8A and 10A for solo travelers, since all of them have more space than the K seats on the right hand side of the aircraft.
Here are the JFK-GVA and GVA-JFK flight times:
- Depart JFK 7:40pm, Arrive GVA 9:15am the next day (LX23)
- Depart GVA 11:45am, Arrive JFK 2:25pm (LX22)
Initially, in January 2022, the nonstop flights will operate Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. This will decrease to 3X/week on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays February-March 2022, then increase to 5X/week on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays in April 2022 before becoming a daily flight May-November 2022.

Reserving SWISS Business Class Award Tickets with Miles and Points
If you recently took advantage of the 100K Chase Aeroplan credit card offer (110K if you collected the 10K waitlist bonus) you can use a 50,000 reward certificate toward the 60,000 per ticket award cost. Taking into account the 10,000 point waitlist bonus, the total cost for two award tickets or one roundtrip would be 10,000 plus CAD 47 (~$37) for JFK-GVA or CAD 66 (~$52) for GVA-JFK.
Note that Aeroplan does charge CAD $150 to cancel and refund Aeroplan points, so for less certain plans, another option is to use 73,000 United MileagePlus miles + $6 JFK-GVA or $51 GVA-JFK. Non-elites are permitted free changes (any mile difference applies) and cancellations up to 31 days before departure, although cancellations 30 days or fewer before departure face a $125 to redeposit miles.
