Top 20 Cleanest Airlines 2025 (No U.S. Airline Made the List)

The Cleanest Airlines of 2025 are dominated by Asian airlines, with Taiwan's EVA Air, Japan's ANA, and Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific as the top three, per the Skytrax Passenger Choice World Airline Awards. The rankings are based on the cleanliness of seat areas, tables, carpets, cabin panels, and lavatories. Unsurprisingly, no U.S. airline cracked the top 20.

1. EVA Air (2024: #3)

According to EVA's Management and Governance page: “EVA Air thoroughly cleans all cabin areas before departure. This includes seats, tray tables, TV screens, aisles, restrooms, and compartments above and in front of seats. Flight attendants also inspect and clean the cabin environment periodically during the journey, to ensure a clean and comfortable experience for passengers. Our airport staff and supervisory management teams conduct inspections from time to time to ensure cabin cleanliness and quality for continual improvement.”

2. ANA (2024: #2)

ANA has been a 5-time Skytrax winner as the world's cleanest airline, so it's no surprise to see it nab the second spot in 2025.

3. Cathay Pacific (2024: #1)

Cathay Pacific is typically in Skytrax's top 10 for cabin cleanliness. “Our cleaning procedures include strict disinfection of frequently touched surfaces and fixtures such as personal television screens, meal tables, baby bassinet tables, and cup holders across the aircraft after every flight. Our staff are trained with the latest hygiene protocols and cleaning procedures.”
