Sofitel Paris le Faubourg Location
The hotel is located at 15 Rue Boissy d'Anglas in the 8th Arrondissement, near Place de la Concorde and the chic boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saing-Honore. The Musee de l'Orangerie is about a 10-minute walk, the Musee d'Orsay is 18 minutes away, and the Louvre is a ~20 minute walk.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg Junior Suite
The hotel, which was formed by 18th century and 19th century townhouses (the latter was the former headquarters of Marie Claire magazine), includes 148 rooms and suites. Entry-level Superior rooms and Luxury rooms are among the smallest in the Paris luxury hotel segment, at 215 sq. ft. and 269 sq. ft. respectively, and even the Premier Luxury Room that we originally booked was only 322 sq. ft. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite, which is still a modest 376 sq. ft., so for our clients who value space, we recommend booking a Collection Suite or higher.
As with all Junior Suites, it's an open plan design, with the king bed and living area in the same room. The sofa also becomes a sofa bed that can accommodate an addition guest or two, and was perfect for our teen.

Next to the closet area outside the bathroom there was a mini bar and above it, a Nespresso machine, hot water kettle, and tea.

Due to the space constraints, the bathroom is on the small side, with a single sink and the toilet in the same room, but there was still a separate soaking tub and rain shower, which we liked.

Sofitel Paris le Faubourg Breakfast at Blossom
Paris luxury hotels have some of the highest quality city hotel breakfast buffets, and Sofitel Paris le Faubourg's was no exception. Particular highlights were the fresh-squeezed juices, artisanal cheeses and yogurts, and lime meringue croissants.

The Verdict
In the competitive Paris luxury hotel market, Sofitel Paris le Faubourg is easy to miss among fancier contenders, especially those with a palace distinction. But, while we only had a brief one-night stay, I was impressed by the soft product: the level of service, breakfast quality, and French comfort food in Le Bar du Faubourg. There's no question that the rooms, including Junior Suite, are on the small side, so the hotel works best for guests who won't spend much time in the room, but value a good night's sleep and a high caliber of cuisine.
