.

Rosewood Blue Palace Crete will be Rosewood's first hotel in Greece when it opens in 2025 after a renovation, while Patmos Aktis, the only luxury hotel on the island of Patmos, will join the Luxury Collection following an extensive renovation, reopening in summer 2024.

The resorts join several new luxury resort openings in Greece, including the Mandarin Oriental Costa Navarino and the One&Only Aesthesis near Athens, as well as the One&Only Kea Island, which will open in 2024.

Rosewood Blue Palace Crete

Rosewood Blue Palace will open in 2025, following a renovation from its prior incarnation as part of the Luxury Collection. About a 1 hour drive from Heraklion Airport (HER), which is a 1 hour flight from Athens, the resort is located between the small fishing village of Plaka and the port of Elounda. The resort will be redesigned by the acclaimed Grecian firm, K-Studio (whose work includes the One&Only Aesthesis) and feature 154 rooms and suites, 85 of which will enjoy private pools for those seeking elevated seclusion.

Greek-born, London-based interior designer Afroditi Krassa, will create the spaces that house the resort’s six restaurants and bars.

Asaya, Rosewood’s holistic well-being concept, will include a fitness center, movement studio, yoga pavilion, and dedicated areas for guests to explore hydrotherapy treatments. Three outdoor pools will all feature panoramic deep-blue ocean views that will allow guests to experience the majestic tranquility of the island.
