Seasons Restaurant Menu and Food

This was the dinner menu for our visit:

We started off with my husband's “The Wedge” salad, which he greatly enjoyed, thanks to its smoked blue cheese and bacon.

Our teen got his cheese fix with Mac N' Cheese, which I sampled and agreed was better than expected, thanks to its truffle butter.

One of the two stars of the dinner was our side order of Brussels Sprouts, which had been roasted until crispy before being drizzled with a balsamic reduction and lavishly finished with shaved parmesan. We fought over the last few pieces.

We'd mentioned to our server that my husband and I planned to share the Red Wine Braised Short Rib, and were pleasantly surprised when he provided two half portions of it, each attractively plated. It's this kind of attention to detail that delights me.

Our teen was kept busy by his Black Angus burger, which he said was especially tasty thanks to its bacon onion jam.

Although the burger normally comes with french fries, our server and the kitchen willingly obliged our requested substitution of fresh fruit (without cantaloupe or honeydew, which none of us care for).

The Verdict

We enjoyed a great dinner at Seasons Restaurant at the Four Seasons Aviara. Highlights were the excellent brussels sprouts, some of the best we've had in recent memory; the superb red wine braised short rib which was kindly plated in two portions since my husband and split it; and our teen's mac n' cheese (elevated by the truffle butter) and burger, which he said was very satisfying, especially with the bacon jam. Service was superb as well, from taking into account a serious food allergy to checking in with us how we were enjoying the meal to refilling waters to offering a scoop of coconut sorbet to celebrate a birthday, since we turned down a complimentary chocolate dessert (we were getting too full). If in the area we'd absolutely return.
