The New Raffles London at the Old War Office (OWO) Will Open Late 2022, the first Raffles hotel in the UK and a highly anticipated opening in one of London's architectural gems. The landmark Grade II listed building, the War Office, completed in 1906 and designed by British architect William Young, served to administer the British Army until 1964, after which it was used by the Ministry of Defence under the name The Old War Office.
The OWO inspired the author Ian Fleming to write the famous James Bond series after he worked as a key liaison officer between the War Office and Britain's Naval Intelligence Service. The building featured in several Bond films: Skyfall, Spectre, License to Kill, A View to a Kill, Octopussy, and most recently, No Time To Die. The hotel's opening will be the first time the Old War Office is open to the public.
