This Guess the Hotel is of a Modern Fairy Tale in the Heart of a City. Its exotic Moorish facade might at first seem odd given the city it's in, but it's wholly in keeping with the fairy tale garden right outside its door. This boutique gem has just 38 rooms and suites, making it imperative to reserve well in advance.
We loved our Junior Suite, which effortlessly blended modern technology, a sleek and very comfortable four poster bed and Philippe Starck bathtub with the historic, including decorative Asian vases.
The private outdoor deck was a highlight, from which we could view the beautiful gardens below.
Lovely welcome amenities included chilled champagne and these delectable cakes, flavored with marzipan and raspberry jam.
Breakfast each morning was a delight, with a beautifully arranged continental style buffet of fresh fruits, fresh squeezed juices, homemade breads and pastries, cheeses, yogurt and bircher muesli, homemade jams, and more, plus the option to select a hot entree from the a la carte menu.
We liked sitting by the window to enjoy the view of the garden, and once, as we sat there, a white peacock sauntered by.
The rooftop pool and loungers are perfect to enjoy on a warm, sunny day.
