Finally there's a Four Seasons AMEX Offer: either 15,000 Membership Rewards points or a $150 statement credit on $750 or more spend. We've seen AMEX Offers for Marriott Bonvoy, Waldorf-Astoria and Conrad Hotels, and also AMEX Offers for Kimpton Hotels, InterContinental and Wynn. But until now, there hasn't been an AMEX offer for Four Seasons hotels and resorts. Many Four Seasons hotels also haven't lowered prices all that much.
While we don't have any inside knowledge, our sense is that Four Seasons is seeking to protect its premium pricing, since significantly marked down rates aren't consistent with a luxury experience. Consumers, once they get used to being able to get a product or service at a particular price, are extremely resistant to paying significantly more for it. We've seen this sometimes for properties that the Four Seasons has taken over, where our clients who stayed at the property in its previous incarnation are unwilling to pay Four Seasons rates, even after a renovation and raising the service and experience to Four Seasons levels.
But extraordinary times during this pandemic are calling for extraordinary measures to get guests to return, and a Four Seasons AMEX offer allows the brand to extend savings to guests without further discounting actual room and suite rates. Here's the offer:
- Add the offer to your AMEX card
- Earn either 15,000 Membership Rewards points or a $150 statement credit (depending on your AMEX card offer) by using your enrolled AMEX card to spend $750 or more on room rate and room charges at a participating Four Seasons hotel or private retreat by 12/31/20
- Eligible locations are in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Costa Rica, Anguilla, Bahamas, and Saint Kitts and Nevis.
- Reservations must be made online at U.S. website fourseasons.com or in-person (may be made by a Four Seasons Preferred Partner advisor)
- Excludes Four Seasons Gift Cards purchased online. Not valid for Four Seasons eGift Card purchases.

Which Offer to Choose?
The 15,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points offer is the better offer, since AMEX Membership Rewards points, if you redeem them for their highest value, by transferring to frequent flyer programs, are worth more than 1 cent per point. But the points offer is only available on AMEX cards with a hefty annual fee, such as the AMEX Platinum, AMEX Business Platinum, AMEX Gold, etc.
We haven't found those cards to be worth it, since they have poor category bonuses and a harder to use airline incidental credit than the Chase Sapphire Reserve. We much prefer our AMEX Blue Business Plus since it earns 2X Membership Rewards points everywhere, with no annual fee.

That said, be sure to double check before booking with your Four Seasons Preferred Partner travel advisor or the hotel directly to be sure of the applicable cancellation policy for your reservation.

Which Travel Credit Card Should I Use for the Four Seasons AMEX Offer?
