The Fairmont Niseko, Japan will open in early 2028 in Hokkaido, Japan, as the second Fairmont in Japan after the Fairmont Tokyo, and the third luxury resort in the Niseko area, after The Park Hyatt Niseko and Higashiyama Niseko Village, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve. Fairmont acquired the previous New World La Plume Niseko Resort, which went into bankruptcy in 2024.

The Fairmont Niseko is set amongst nine acres of forested land between Mount Yotei and Niseko Annupuri. It's about a 20-minute drive from the JR Kutchan train station, a 22-minute drive from the Park Hyatt Niseko, and a 1 hour 45 minute drive from New Chitose Airport (CTS), with nonstop flights from San Francisco SFO (starting 12/11/26), Bangkok, Hong Kong, Seoul, Shanghai, Sydney, Taipei, Tokyo, Osaka, and other cities.

Fairmont Niseko Rooms and Amenities
The new ski resort's 165 rooms and suites imagined by architect Daiken Sekkei, Inc with Steve Leung Design Group Limited as main interior designer, will offer unobstructed panoramic views of Mount Yotei, Niseko's signature natural landmark.

There will also be two exquisite restaurants, a sanctuary-like spa and wellness offering, an engaging kids' club, and authentic onsen (Japanese hot spring) experiences.
