Amanvari is Now Open in Los Cabos, Mexico as the sixth Aman Resort in North America and the Caribbean.

Amanvari Location and Getting There

Amanvari is part of the thousand acre Costa Palmas estate that's also home to the Four Seasons Los Cabos at Costa Palmas, which opened in 2019. Aman's parcel is the furthest west, in a remote part of the East Cape that is dotted by local farms, fishing villages, and ranches. The nearest airport, about a 1 hour drive away, is Los Cabos (SJD), served by nonstop flights from Atlanta ATL, Austin AUS, Chicago ORD, Dallas DFW, Denver DEN, Houston IAH, Los Angeles LAX, New York JFK, Newark EWR, Phoenix PHX, Portland PDX, Salt Lake City SLC, San Francisco SFO, San Jose SJC, and Seattle SEA, among others. There are also seasonal flights from additional airports such as Charlotte, Las Vegas, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, and more.

Amanvari Resort

The name, Amanvari, derives from the Sanskrit words for “peace” and “water,” fitting for a resort that will enjoy stunning views over the Sea of Cortez, with a beautiful stretch of white sand beach, as well as views of the Sierra de la Laguna mountain range.

Amanvari Resort will offer 18 stand alone pavilions, designed by architects Heah & Co (whose work includes Amanera, One&Only Kea Island, the Terrace Suites at The Berkeley Hotel, London, and the Four Seasons Bali at Sayan, among others),

All casitas are 883 sq. ft. (82 sq. m.). Each also has its own heated private pool that is 32 feet long, 5 feet wide. The entry-level Casita has estuary views, while the next category, the Horizon Casita, has ocean views. Both of these casitas are elevated off the ground by pillars, with stairs to the main living area and a balcony, but with the pool area on the ground level.

The next category is the Estuary Casita, with walk-in access and everything on ground level.

The highest category is the Beachfront Casita, with direct beach access and ocean and beach views.

Amanvari's main pavilion, directly on the beach, will draw both resort guests and residents (24 Aman Residences will be offered for sale) with its three restaurants (including Arva, Aman's Italian cuisine concept, Sesui for Japanese cuisine, and Luma for open-fire cooking and seafood), library, lounge, and infinity pool encircled by four jacuzzis.

Amanvari Dining

Amanvari offers three restaurants. Luma offers ocean views and coastal Mexican cuisine, highlight open-fire cooking, fresh seafood, premium meats and seasonal vegetables. Arva, in the resort's Casa Grande, is Aman's Italian concept, with both classical favorites and innovative signature dishes. Sesui is the resort's Japanese restaurant, with a 10-seat sushi bar for omakase aficionados, as well as à la carte dining of sashimi, tempura and charcoal-grilled specialties.

There's also Amanvari's Lounge Bar for locally inspired light bites and signature cocktails.

There are also drinks and refreshments at The Pool.

Amanvari Activities

There's great snorkeling, diving and fishing in the area, so Amanvari will offer explorations with a resident marine biologist, diving with whales, fishing expeditions, and visits to local ranches and organic farms. There's also three miles of swimmable beach and a yacht club with a deep water marina, for those arriving by yacht.

And of course as at all Aman resorts, there will be a focus on wellness, from yoga and pilates to a full range of spa treatments. The Spa includes six private treatment rooms, two signature Hydro Houses with banya and hammam, a 24-hour fitness center, and a contemporary temazcal (sweat lodge).
