2. Raffles Maldives Meradhoo Resort
Raffles Maldives Meradhoo opened in 2019, although the resort closed earlier this year during the pandemic and will reopen in October 2020. This is a small island, with just 38 free-standing villas, the newest of which are the Overwater Villas and Sunset Overwater Villas.

3. Cheval Blanc Paris (Opening Postponed Until 2021)
Originally Cheval Blanc Paris was to open in Fall 2020, but it will now debut sometime in 2021, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

7. Six Senses Fiji
Note that as of time of writing, Fiji is not open to U.S. visitors, with limited exceptions for some visitors arriving via yacht. Opened in 2018, the Six Senses Fiji has just 24 free standing Pool Villas, although there are also privately owned residences with 2BR, 4BR and 5BR options, also with their own private pool and either ocean views or beach front.

Here's a bonus #11: Carlisle Bay Antigua will reopen on October 10, 2020. It's a family friendly resort, with simple furnishings, that could use some TLC and renovation, but is by the same token much less expensive Jumby Bay Island (Oetker Collection) and higher caliber Caribbean resorts.
