The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel, will open September 1, 2024, having been acquired by Reuben Brothers, British billionaires who also own Hotel La Palma (Oetker Collection) in Capri, as well as Admiralty Arch, which will open as London's first Waldorf Astoria in 2025, among a number of other hotels in Europe and the U.S. Previously Reuben Brothers were the largest shareholder of Belmond, prior to the LVMH acquisition.
The Surrey, a Corinthia Hotel Location
The Surrey, which was an independent boutique hotel prior to the Reuben Brothers' purchase in 2020, is located at 20 East 76th Street on Manhattan's Upper East Side, one block from Central Park, and a short walk to The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Frick Collection, and excellent dining, such as the 2-Michelin-star Daniel, by Chef Daniel Boulud.

The Surrey Rooms, Suites, and Amenities
The 70 guest rooms and 30 suites have been designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, whose work also includes Hotel Barriere Fouquet's New York, Eden Rock St. Barths (Oetker Collection), and the Four Seasons Palm Beach, among others.

Casa Tua will be the hotel's main restaurant, a sister restaurant of the other Casa Tuas in Miami, Paris, and Aspen. Casa Tua will also operate the Lounge and private members' club.

Unfortunately hotel guests will no longer have access to the rooftop garden, as this will be exclusively accessed by private residence owners.

The Surrey Spa, with its fitness center, steam room and sauna, sensorial shower, salt relaxation room, and two treatment rooms, will feature Sisley Paris products.
