The Verdict
This was my 3rd Qatar QSuites flight, so I knew what to expect in terms of the product, which I rate highly in terms of privacy, given the suite doors, and in aspects such as the pajamas, Oryx One IFE, and the table setting, with salt and pepper grinders and a tea light.
That said, QSuites still isn't my favorite business class product due to the confining footwell area, where the position of the tray table intrudes on the space, and the firmness of the bed. I prefer JAL Sky Suite Business Class in a window seat, which is very nearly as private as QSuites, yet with more windows, a more comfortable bed thanks to the airweave mattress pad, and more footwell space.
Since Business Class is generally all about the flat bed, I do dock Qatar points for what I consider deficiencies in the bed, even though some aspects such as the quilted mattress pad/pajamas and the fresh berries at breakfast and desserts are better than average, for business class.
