Most ANA NYC-Tokyo Flights in Q1 2020 with ANA New First Suites

New ANA First Class Suite NYC-Tokyo Awards Bookable

.

Good news: most ANA NYC-Tokyo flights in Q1 2020 will have ANA The Suite New First Class and ANA The Room New Business Class. We've updated this post to reflect this.

ANA's New First Class The Suite and New Business Class The Room are Now Bookable as Awards on the New York JFK to Tokyo HND Route. ANA's The Suite and The Room were announced earlier this year, and the initial launch flight for these newly configured 777-300ER flights was between London LHR and Tokyo HND, NH211 and NH212.

ANA is now flying the new cabins with The Suite and The Room on most (but not all) flights between New York JFK and Tokyo HND as well JFK and Tokyo NRT, . The easiest way to check whether an upcoming ANA flight has the new products is to go to ana.co.jp and under the International tab, search for your exact flight and cabin class. If it states “The Suite” or “The Room” for your flight, then your flight currently is scheduled to have the new product, although keep in mind there can be last minute equipment swaps that might mean you get the older cabin.

Note that while most flights in Q1 2020 have ANA The Suite new first class and The Room new business class, there are still scheduled to be flights that have the older product, as shown for these March 5 Tokyo HND to JFK and March 6 JFK to HND flights.

It can also be quite challenging to book the ones that have the new product as an award flight. While ANA often releases 1-2 award seats within 30 days of departure, its own ANA Mileage Plan members get priority, and these members may have waitlisted award space, which mean that Star Alliance and other partners (such as Virgin Atlantic) may not get any last minute award space. And in the past, ANA has been perfectly fine with flying its flights with only 1 passenger in First Class and all other seats empty, so don't count on the load factors to predict whether ANA will release award seats or not.

When booking with ANA Mileage Club miles, roundtrip first class is just 150,000 miles + JPY 28,970 (~$270).

.

ANA Business Class is 85,000 miles + JPY 28,970 roundtrip, also an excellent deal, especially for the new The Room product, which has closing suite doors.

.

Later in 2020 from April 2020 and later, when checking ANA's paid flights, there are still many flights scheduled with the old product; we'll have to see whether there's any changes.

.

Do you plan to fly ANA's The Suite new first class or ANA's The Room new business class? We have a Q1 2020 flight in The Suite, so stay tuned for our 2020 ANA New First Class “The Suite” Review.

Noooooooo! I booked Chicago to HND on ANA first class with Virgin Atlantic points (arguably one of the best redemptions available especially when you transfer AMEX points with a bonus). Still showing as the old plane. Going in August. Fingers crossed that the plane gets updated by then
