Four Seasons Private Jet Journeys aren't for everyone, but for well-heeled travelers who enjoy a seamless Four Seasons experience, with everything taken care of, and the camaraderie of meeting other interesting and accomplished professionals while traveling, it's earned a loyal following. On many journeys, there's a good number of repeat guests, and Four Seasons Private Jet clients include some who typically fly private and have never traveled as part of a group. Fortunately, at each destination there are multiple options for activities and experiences, so you're usually with only 4-6 others; there's also the option to opt for a private guide/driver.
The Four Seasons Private Jet is a custom outfitted 757, which has 52 flat bed leather seats, Four Seasons bedding when guests wish to rest, in-flight WiFi, a Four Seasons onboard Concierge, and a dedicated Four Seasons Chef, which helps ensure that in-flight meals are of a higher standard than typically seen with commercial business and first class.
Since 2019 Four Seasons Private Jet itineraries are entirely sold out, I wanted to provide details for 2020 journeys, which look fantastic, especially International Intrigue.
If interested in any of the journeys I outline below or for other Four Seasons Preferred Partner bookings, please become a TravelSort Client and I would be happy to answer questions and secure your reservation. While Four Seasons Private Jet guests are already VIP guests at each Four Seasons property they stay at, TravelSort Clients enjoy additional benefits for their Private Jet reservation, such as a restorative massage, private cruise, photo session, or other experience enhancement.
International Intrigue: February 15 – March 9, 2020
Over 1 year away, there are only 29 seats remaining for this journey, which includes Japan, Vietnam, the Maldives, Serengeti, Morocco, Hungary, Russia and France.
Seattle February 15-16, 2020
Enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers and Four Seasons Private Jet journey team at Chihuly Garden and Glass, a beautiful setting against the backdrop of the iconic Space Needle. Early arrivers can enjoy a private tour of Pike Place Market, watch jets being assembled at the nearby Boeing factory, or take in a birds-eye view of Seattle and its evergreen forests from a seaplane.
Kyoto, February 17-20, 2020
Thankfully, Kyoto's cultural riches were spared during World War II, and the former capital of Japan boasts 17 UNESCO World Heritage sites. Practice meditation with a Zen master at the Shoden Eigen-in Temple, challenge yourself with a private lesson in the art of samurai sword combat, or explore the city's culinary treasures at Nishiki Market. This is just scratching the surface of the many scenic parks, Buddhist and Shinto temples, and unique art and cultural activities Kyoto has to offer.
Hoi An (Vietnam), February 20-22, 2020
Previously the Nam Hai, Four Seasons took over this beach resort at the end of 2016. It's set on a 20 mile stretch of white sand beach and has three swimming pools that cascade to the beach, as well as 4 tennis courts, a badminton court, half size basketball court, a pool table and table tennis.
A short drive away is Hoi An's Old Town, a 15th century UNESCO World Heritage site with winding streets of wooden shops, plus lush countryside that can be taken in during a bike ride. Hoi An is also an excellent place to take a Vietnamese cooking class, with a pre-class visit to a local market to buy the requisite herbs and vegetables.
Maldives, February 22-25, 2020
Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa
The Four Seasons Maldives at Kuda Huraa is an easy speedboat ride from Male, and the water villas, each with private infinity pool, were renovated in 2017. Enjoy the incredible marine life, from unicorn fish and other tropical fish, to sharks and manta rays, while snorkeling or diving; nighttime snorkeling is also offered, to see the species that are most active after dark. Kuda Huraa also offers surfing lessons, which my son and I enjoyed on our visit.
Serengeti, February 25-28
I'd choose the Maldives over the Seychelles any day, so this is a great Four Seasons Jet journey that manages to combine both the Maldives and safari. Your safari begins the moment you arrive, with a game drive to the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti. It's worth waking up early to enjoy an exhilarating morning hot air balloon safari, watching the savannah come to life during sunrise, before a Champagne breakfast in the bush. A local Masai guide and resident naturalist will accompany you for a walking safari, pointing out animals you could easily miss on your own. Don't forget to bring a camera with a telephoto lens or good zoom capabilities! Unwind in the lodge's infinity pool, which overlooks a watering hole frequented by elephants.
Marrakech, February 28-March 2, 2020
Explore Marrakech with Four Seasons, from the local spice markets and Jemaa el Fna square to the nearby Musee Yves Saint Laurent and the lush Majorelle Gardens. Foodies can take a Moroccan cooking class, while those with a penchant for shopping can be accompanied by a private guide to seek out the highest quality local leather goods, jewelry and Berber carpets. Don't miss a day trip to the rugged snow-capped Atlas Mountains, for hiking and tea with a local family.
Budapest, March 2-5, 2020
Four Seasons Hotel Gresham Palace Budapest enjoys an enviable central location by the iconic Chain Bridge, with panoramic views of the Danube River. It's a great home base while you explore Budapest's wonders, from Castle Hill and Matthias Church to the thermal pools at Szechenyi Baths and, further afield, the Etyek-Buda winemaking region. Take a private tour of the State Opeara House and enjoy a performance in this neo-Renaissance landmark, or sail down the Danube on an evening cruise taking in the illuminated Parliament Building and Buda Castle.
St. Petersburg, Russia, March 5-8, 2020
Four Seasons St. Petersburg, Russia
Longtime readers know that St. Petersburg, the former capital of Russia, is one of my favorite cities in the world, and I spend time there every year (see my 10 Travel Tips for St. Petersburg, Russia). Without question the Four Seasons St. Petersburg is the best place to stay, right across from St. Isaac's Cathedral and walking distance to the Hermitage, the second largest art museum in the world, after the Louvre. You'll enjoy special early access to the Hermitage Museum, and also a private tour of the Faberge Museum to see the exclusive collection of Faberge eggs. The final night's dinner will be in one of St. Petersburg's royal palaces.
Paris, March 8-9, 2020
Four Seasons Hotel George V Paris
The private jet journey concludes in Paris, which many guests will want to spend some additional time in before returning home. Those who have been countless times to the Louvre, Musee d'Orsay, Notre Dame and other major landmarks can explore some of the smaller, more intimate collections, such as the Musee Rodin, Musee Bourdelle, Cernuschi Museum for Asian Art, Musee Jacquemart-Andre and the Musee des Arts et Metiers.
Savor an exclusive wine tasting, sampling some of the 50,000 bottles of the hotel's legendary wine cellar, La Cave, and conclude with a celebratory dinner at the 3-Michelin star restaurant, Le Cinq, helmed by the sensational Chef Christian Le Squer.
Price: $147,000 per person, double occupancy (single supplement: $14,700) includes private jet travel, accommodations, select excursions/experiences, all meals and beverages during meals (which include water, soft drinks, beer, and selected wines and liquors).
Price does not include flight to Seattle or flight home from Paris (unless the guest is a repeat Four Seasons Jet guest), passport or visa fees, personal expenses such as laundry, phone charges, spa treatments, golf fees, private cars/drivers, optional excursions/experiences, etc.
