Which Credit Cards Offer Expedited Shipping? Some years ago, this was as easy as requesting expedited shipping, if getting approved for a new card by phone. But as banks have cut costs, it's more common to be told that it will arrive anywhere from 9 days to 2 weeks after being approved. How can you get your new credit card faster, particularly if you have an upcoming large expenditure that would be useful for meeting minimum spend?
AMEX
American Express automatically expedites shipping for the AMEX Platinum, AMEX Business Platinum, and similar high annual fee cards, which usually means 2 day shipping. AMEX doesn't expedite other lower tier cards such as AMEX Gold cards, although expedited shipping via FedEx can be requested for a fee of $10, which is billed to your statement.
Another option that is often provided, assuming your identity can be verified correctly, is the ability to view your new card number immediately after being approved. You may need to take a screenshot or jot down the number as it's usually only visible for a limited time on the screen, after your approval. Alternatively, it may be sent via email. Note that the 4-digit security code on the instantly available card is different from the security code on the physical card that you receive in the mail, so you'll want to wait to set up recurring payments until you receive the physical card.

Chase
On a recent call with Chase, I was approved for a new card but told that I'd receive my card “within two weeks.” When I asked to expedite it, I was given a different number to call for Chase Customer Service: 888-291-5079. After calling and verifying information, I was told that there was no charge to expedite the card, which would arrive within two business days.
It may also be possible to add a newly approved Chase card to a digital wallet such as Apple Pay, although this doesn't seem to work consistently; it didn't work for me when I tried it.

If you've tried to get expedited shipping for a newly approved credit card recently, which card was it, and did the issuer expedite it without a fee?
