If clients' budgets don't quite enable them to experience Joali or Cheval Blanc Randheli, or if they wish to be in Baa Atoll for its snorkeling and diving, I recommend Four Seasons Maldives at Landaa Giraavaru. The white sand beaches at Landaa Giraavaru, while not having sand as powdery as at Amanpulo, was finer than at some other Maldivian resorts we've stayed at. I also recommend taking an a la carte breakfast at Blu, for its views and more peaceful ambience, rather than the buffet at Cafe Landaa.

Landaa Giraavaru is close to Baa Atoll, the UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve, making it the ideal base for snorkeling with manta rays and great scuba diving. You can even book Manta on Call, where you're given a phone and when mantas are spotted, you'll be whisked out on a speedboat to snorkel with them–there can be dozens of mantas gracefully gliding all around you!
