The Andaz Palm Springs Will Open in Fall 2019, an anticipated new opening for the Palm Springs area, which currently lacks a strong luxury contender given the inconsistent experiences offered by older properties such as The Ritz-Carlton Rancho Mirage and La Quinta Resort, a Waldorf-Astoria.
The question is whether it will indeed open this Fall 2019, as proclaimed by Hyatt's press release announcing 40 Hyatt hotels that will open in West Coast locales by the end of 2021 (most of them budget properties, under the Hyatt House and Hyatt Place brands, although in the luxury segment, the Park Hyatt Los Angeles at Oceanside Plaza, and the Grand Hyatt at SFO). The Andaz Palm Springs has undergone numerous delays since 2016, due to problems both with its financial backing and with contractors.
The hotel will be located at 400 North Palm Canyon Drive, in the Uptown Design District, home to great shopping, bars, and restaurants such as Eight4Nine, about a 10 minute walk away, and Copleys on Palm Canyon, a 5 minute walk. The Palm Springs Art Museum is just an 8 minute walk away.
Once the hotel opens for reservations, the best way to reserve it will be with Hyatt Prive benefits, since Hyatt Prive enables TravelSort and other Hyatt Prive luxury travel advisors to confirm an upgrade shortly after booking.
