The Tasman, the first Luxury Collection Hotel in Australia, has opened in Hobart, Tasmania. Getting to Hobart, Tasmania
While Australia is currently closed to most U.S. visitors who are non-citizens/non-residents and not an immediate family member of one, Australia has reopened to fully vaccinated visitors from New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and South Korea.
Flights to Hobart HBA are from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and other Australian airports; the sole international flight is from Auckland, New Zealand.

The Tasman is located at 12 Murray Street in downtown Hobart, by the waterfront, about a 17-20 minute drive from Hobart Airport HBA, a short walk to the popular Salamanca open air market held on Saturdays, and the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.

The Tasman Rooms and Suites
The Tasman offers 152 rooms and suites, starting with the entry level Deluxe King (323) square feet, each with a marble bathroom including a rainfall shower. We recommend going up a couple categories to a Panorama View Room.

Heritage Suites (646 sq. ft.) have a separate bedroom and living room, and enjoy a cozy fireplace. Bathrooms feature a freestanding soaking tub in addition to the rainfall shower.

The hotel's top suite is the Aurora Suite, with a private rooftop terrace complete with a Van Tuil Fire Pit and with panoramic water and city skyline views.

Dining
The Tasman's signature restaurant is Peppina, named for Chef Massimo Mele's Italian grandmother.
