The Mandarin Oriental Vienna is open for reservations for stays from November 17, 2025. With existing Vienna luxury hotels such as the Park Hyatt Vienna, Rosewood Vienna, the Palais Coburg Residenz (sister hotel of the fantastic Park Hotel Vitznau by Lake Lucerne), the Hotel Sacher Wien, the Ritz-Carlton Vienna, and the Thompson Vienna, Vienna is rapidly expanding its luxury offerings.

Mandarin Oriental Vienna
The new Mandarin Oriental Vienna is located at Riemergasse 7, about a 20-30 minute drive from Vienna Airport (VIE), a 5-6 minute walk from Stephansplatz and St. Stephen's Cathedral, a 12 minute walk to the Vienna State Opera, a short walk to an array of restaurants and cafes, and a 25 minute walk from the MuseumsQuartier.
The hotel is in a listed building that once served as the Vienna’s commercial law court from 1912 to 2003. The restoration and renovation preserves many of the building’s original design elements.

The upcoming Rosewood should also be on the radar for the luxury traveller visiting Vienna. An oversight, perhaps?
We included it in our post awhile ago on Rosewood Amsterdam and Rosewood Vienna–perhaps you missed it? https://travelsort.com/rosewood-amsterdam-hotel/
No I didn’t miss it. I just think it should be included in the list of hotels mentioned in ths same post. Cheers
