Review: Park Hyatt Vienna

Park Hyatt Vienna Review

This Park Hyatt Vienna Review is from our 2019 stay, following our Austrian Airlines Business Class Flight from JFK to Vienna. Currently the hotel is one of just 7 Park Hyatt hotels in Europe. Other points of comparison include the Park Hyatt Paris Vendome, the Park Hyatt Zurich, and the Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow.

Park Hyatt Vienna Location and Check-In

The Park Hyatt Vienna is located at Am Hof 2, on Am Hof Square, in the heart of historical Vienna. The hotel is just a short walk from St. Stephen's Cathedral, and about an 18-20 min. walk from MuseumQuartier, where the Kunsthalle Wien exhibition center, Leopold Museum, MUMOK and other museums are located. In fact, District 1, where the Park Hyatt Vienna is situated, is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.n From Vienna Airport (VIE), it's a ~20-40 minute drive depending on traffic.

The Verdict

I consider The Park Hyatt Vienna one of the Top 10 Park Hyatt Hotels in the World, at time of writing. Its location in the heart of historic Vienna, the gorgeous renovated rooms, suites and interiors of the hotel, and in particular the high quality breakfast in the elegant Bank Brasserie, were all highlights. We were also very grateful that the hotel was able to accommodate a late check-out, given our evening departure from Vienna Airport.

Service was excellent at the reception and in the restaurant, and housekeeping took note of our do not disturb sign, so we weren't bothered at all when sleeping that morning, trying to catch up on sleep after our red eye flight. The only small issue was trying to get a hold of the Concierge, as there wasn't always a team member at the Concierge Desk.
