Mandarin Oriental Cristallo Will Open in 2025, ahead of the Milano-Cortina Winter Olympics. This will be Mandarin Oriental's first alpine resort, taking over the current Hotel Cristallo and extensively renovating it from Q2 2023 until its opening in the summer of 2025. The resort joins other luxury alpine retreats such as Rosa Alpina, now an Aman partner hotel; Four Seasons Megeve; and Cheval Blanc Courchevel.

Mandarin Oriental Cristallo Location
The resort's location is in Cortina d'Ampezzo, which is about a 2 hour drive from Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE), with seasonal flights from New York JFK and Atlanta on Delta, Newark EWR on United Airlines, Philadelphia on American Airlines, and many European cities such as London, Paris, Madrid, Munich, Vienna, Amsterdam, Prague, etc.
Built in 1901, Hotel Cristallo was built in the Art Nouveau style and became a popular ski destination for the European elite in the 1930s. Last year Attestor Limited, which also owns the Mandarin oriental Lake Como, acquired the hotel.

The renovated property will also include a new extension designed by Swiss firm Herzog & de Meuron. There will be 53 rooms, many with private balconies, as well as 30 suites with lovely views of the Dolomites. Amenities will include several restaurants and bars, an extensive spa and wellness facility, and an indoor-outdoor swimming pool.
