7/25/23 Update: Four Seasons Tamarindo has added semi-private flight options from Puerto Vallarta (PVR) with a 6-seat jet, 25-minute flight from PVR to Manzanillo ZLO. The daily flight typically departs PVR at 3pm, with the return from ZLO at 9am, although depending on the other guests' flights the flight times may be able to be slightly adjusted to better coordinate with arriving or departing flight times. The flight costs $600 each way per person. As noted below the drive from ZLO to the resort is 55 minutes-1 hour each way.
Guests visiting for Thanksgiving or festive season also have the option of a 50-seat jet for the following dates, at the same $600 pp per way rate:
- Thanksgiving: PVR-ZLO on 11/18/23, ZLO-PVR on 11/25/23
- Festive: PVR-ZLO on 12/23 and 12/26, ZLO-PVR on 12/30 and 1/2/24

Getting to Four Seasons Tamarindo
Alaska Air flies nonstop twice a week on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Los Angeles LAX to Manzanillo Airport (ZLO), about a 1 hour drive from the resort. American Airlines offers nonstop flights from Phoenix on Saturdays starting 12/17/22, with twice a week service on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting 2/8/23 through end of March 2023. AA also flies nonstop to ZLO from Dallas DFW weekly on Saturdays from 12/3/22, again with twice a week service on Wednesdays and Saturdays starting 2/8/23 through end of March 2023. United Airlines flies weekly to ZLO on Saturdays from 11/12/22 through 3/25/23. Canadians also have a nonstop option via Westjet, with nonstop flights from Calgary YYC to ZLO twice a week on Sundays and Thursdays starting 11/20/22, and 3X a week with the addition of Friday flights starting 12/16/22, through 4/7/22.

Four Seasons Tamarindo Suites
Initially the resort opened with its Cliffside One Bedroom Suite with Infinity Pool accommodation, all of which provide nearly 1600 square feet (148 sq. m.) of indoor and outdoor space and a private 43-foot (13 m.) infinity pool, as well as hammock and outdoor shower. These Cliffside 1BR Suites vary only by view; the entry level suites have cliff views, while the Ocean View Suites have views of the nature reserve and ocean, the Panoramic Suites have unobstructed 180 degree views of the ocean and nature reserve.

There are now lower category rooms as well, starting with the Nature Room (710 sq. ft. of indoor and outdoor space) with views of foliage, golf course, and resort; the Beachfront Room (805-980 sq. ft.) which is steps from the sandy beach; and the Premium Beachfront Room (1052 sq. ft.) with elevated and more expansive views of the beach and ocean.

Pools and Beaches
The resort is built on an extensive nature reserve, which affords many hiking and nature trails to explore the indigenous birds and other wildlife. There are also three swimmable beaches and tiered infinity pools, with the lower tier an adults-only quiet pool, and family pools on the upper levels.

Four Seasons Tamarindo Opening Offer
The Four Seasons Tamarindo is offering a fourth night complimentary, which is combinable with Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits. Note that Four Seasons Preferred Partner guests enjoy top priority for a space available upgrade at check-in, ahead of AMEX Fine Hotels & Resorts and other reservations. Suite guests enjoy one $200 resort per stay.
- Daily full breakfast for two people per bedroom, served in a hotel restaurant or through In-Room Dining
- Resort Credit: $200 per stay for suites, $100 per stay for rooms
- Upgrade of one category, based on availability at time of check-in
The 4th night free offer is available on an ongoing basis, although there are blackout dates for Thanksgiving, festive season, etc.
