Four Seasons Napa Valley Will Open in Mid-2019, bringing much needed competition to Napa Valley luxury resorts, which often fall short of expectations given their lofty price point. The resort will feature 85 guest rooms situated in bungalows and two-story villas, as well as 20 Four Seasons Private Residences of 3 bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms and 4 bedrooms with 4.5 bathrooms.

Four Seasons Napa Valley Location

The Four Seasons Napa Valley is located in Calistoga, known for its natural hot springs, petrified forest, and of course excellent wineries. Chateau Montelena is known for triumphing at the 1976 Paris Wine Tasting, with a Chardonnay that beat every French competitor (turned, with some artistic license, into the 2008 film “Bottle Shock”) and you can visit the winery, just a 6-7 minute drive from the resort. Other popular wineries in the area include Schramsberg Vineyards, Tedeschi Family Winery, Venge Vineyards, Vincent Arroyo Winery, and others. Further afield, explore wineries near St. Helena, which is just a 15 minute drive, or near Rutherford, which is a 20-25 minute drive.

Four Seasons Napa Valley Resort Amenities

The resort will appeal to both couples seeking a romantic getaway and wine tastings, as well as families. To that end, it will have both a family pool and an adult pool, both of them temperature controlled.

Also for kids, the complimentary Kids for All Seasons will be offered, and a boon to families who might otherwise wonder if their kids will have enough to do in wine country.

The Spa will offer 8 treatment rooms. Perfect given the resort's setting in Calistoga, there are outdoor geothermally heated spa pools and gardens, with women's, men's and coed relaxation areas.

There's also a separate Fitness Center with indoor and outdoor exercise areas.

This being Napa, the resort will have its own winery, managed by master winemaker Thomas Brown, who in 2008 became the youngest winemaker in history to receive a 100 point score by Robert Parker.

With the winery, the 6 acre vineyard, Barrel Room, Wine Cave and Tasting Room, it's hard to think of another California wine country 5-star resort that integrates wine making, from grape to glass, so closely into guests' stays.

There will be a Restaurant, Bar, and General Store/Cafe, but the executive chef hasn't been announced yet, given that the opening is still a little over a year away.
