Cayman Islands Ends Pre-Arrival Testing for Fully Vaccinated Travelers

.

Good News: the Cayman Islands Has Ended Pre-Arrival Testing for fully vaccinated travelers, effective today, June 30, 2022. Arriving visitors will still need to complete a travel declaration on the Travel Cayman Portal at least 72 hours before arriving in the Cayman Islands. Children age 11 and younger can be unvaccinated if traveling with fully vaccinated parents.

The Cayman Islands has also lifted its mask mandates for indoor public spaces, although restaurant and business owners may have their own individual mask mandates that apply to visitors.

The Cayman Islands join the Bahamas, which recently stopped requiring pre-arrival COVID-19 testing. Previously, we reported that Turks & Caicos dropped its pre-arrival covid testing requirement as of May 1, 2022. Anguilla and St. Kitts & Nevis still require pre-arrival testing and only permit adults who are fully vaccinated to visit.

Where to Stay in Grand Cayman

We recommend the Kimpton Seafire Grand Cayman for couples and those wanting a more modern aesthetic, and we recommend the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman, particularly Club Level, for guests who want access to the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman Club Lounge, a fine dining restaurant on site (Blue by Eric Ripert, although note that the restaurant is currently closed due to its seasonal closure during the off season), or who are avid tennis players, given the resort's excellent tennis program.
