Business Class Suite Award to Japan from 128K Miles

Business Class Suite to Japan from 128K Miles

.

Fly Delta One Suites to Japan's Tokyo Haneda Airport (HND) from 128K Delta SkyMiles each way, if you have a Delta AMEX card, or from 150K miles or points each way if you don't. Delta SkyMiles are worth less than a number of other frequent flyer miles and points (~1 cent per SkyMile), so this is a good way to leverage “Sky pesos” for flights that are typically ~$4000 or more each way. Best availability in July-August 2026 and January-February 2027. Note that July-August is very hot and humid in Japan; pack light, breathable clothes and expect some rainy days!

This won't last long, so book as soon as possible if you find dates that work for you. In order to secure 15% off the rates below, you'll need to be a Delta SkyMiles AMEX cardholder. That brings 150K rates to 127,500, 155K rates to 131,750, etc.

  • Denver DEN: 165K
  • Los Angeles LAX: 150K (nonstop)
  • Minneapolis MSP: 155K (nonstop)
  • Palm Springs PSP: 150K
  • Portland PDX: 150K
  • Salt Lake City SLC: 160K
  • San Diego SAN: 165K
  • Santa Ana SNA: 150K
  • Vancouver YVR: 150K

Where to Stay in Tokyo and Japan

In Tokyo, we especially recommend the Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi, which we reserve for clients with Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits. For clients who will be arriving early or departing late, The Peninsula Tokyo has the advantage of offering our clients early check-in (from 6am) and late check-out (until 10pm); if your reserved room or suite isn't available, a courtesy room will be provided.

In Kyoto, those seeking a new boutique option should consider the new Capella Kyoto, which opened in March 2026. We also like the boutique feel and location of the Park Hyatt Kyoto, in the Higashiyama area, although families are likely to prefer the Four Seasons Kyoto, which has larger rooms, suites, and residences that can more easily accommodate them, as well as a pool–ideal for late spring and summer visits, given the hot and humid weather. There's also the Six Senses Kyoto, with more wellness facilities than the Capella or Park Hyatt.

With more time in Japan, consider adding a luxury hotel with its own onsen (hot spring water) such as the Ritz-Carlton Nikko or Park Hyatt Nikseko in Hokkaido.
