Up to 100K Bonus Points for Chase Refer a Friend 2016

With Chase Refer a Friend 2016, earn up to 100K bonus points. In prior years, Chase has limited bonus points earned from Chase Refer a Friend to 50K Ultimate Rewards points per calendar year, across all Chase cards, business and personal.

The good news is that this year, you can earn up to 100K bonus points if you have both a Chase Sapphire Preferred, Chase Freedom, or other Chase personal credit card, as well as a Chase Ink Plus business card. That's because you can earn up to 50K bonus points across all eligible Chase personal cards, and up to 50K bonus points for your eligible Chase business card.

I confirmed this recently with a Chase representative, but I was also happy to see evidence of it when looking at the breakdown of points earned since my last statement. Here's how to view your own points:

1. Log into your Chase Account and Click on “Go to Ultimate Rewards”

After logging into your Chase account, in the right hand column click on the blue “Go to Ultimate Rewards” link.

2. Select the Chase Card for Which You'd Like to View Ultimate Rewards Points

Next, you'll see a screen with all of your Chase cards. Select the one you'd like to view the Ultimate Rewards points balance for, in this case, a card that you've used for the Chase Refer a Friend or Chase Refer a Business offer.

3. Click on “See More Activity”

On the next screen, you'll see a current summary of your Ultimate Rewards points for the card, but click on the button on the right, “See more activity,” to view pending points from after your most recent statement closing.

4. View Pending Ultimate Rewards Points You've Earned from Chase Refer a Friend

While there isn't a listed breakdown, by looking at the total points earned and percentage of all points earned since most recent statement closing, you'll have a good idea of how many points you're earning so far from Chase Refer a Friend. In this case, since my most recent statement closing was so recent, virtually all the pending points are from Chase Refer a Friend for the Sapphire, 40,000 points total so far (thank you TravelSort readers who have used my referral link!)
