The Chancery Rosewood, Rosewood's second London hotel and ninth hotel in Europe, will open in 2025. It's an all-suite property, similar to The Emory, which means some additional perks, which we'll describe below.

The Chancery Rosewood Location and History
Located at 30 Grosvenor Square in Mayfair, The Chancery Rosewood will be steps from Hyde Park, Mayfair shopping and dining, and other Mayfair luxury hotels such as The Connaught, Claridge's, 45 Park Lane, and The Four Seasons London at Park Lane. It's about a 45 minute to 1 hour 30 minute drive to London Heathrow Airport (LHR).
The Chancery is one of London's prime addresses, and the building itself is Grade II listed for its historical importance. Originally built by architect Eero Saarinen in 1960, The Chancery previously housed the U.S. embassy and was the first purpose-built chancery in London. The current U.S. embassy is now located across the Thames at 33 Nine Elms Lane.

The Chancery Rosewood Suites and Amenities
While the building's original façade, which features an 11-meter gilded eagle hovering above the main entrance, is being preserved, the building's new life as a hotel and dining and retail destination has been created by British architect, Sir David Chipperfield of David Chipperfield Architects. His work ensures elegant interior upgrades while reinforcing and enhancing Saarinen’s original vision of a ‘palace on the park’.
The new hotel offers 144 guest suites, designed by architect Joseph Dirand, who also was responsible for The Four Seasons at The Surf Club by Miami Beach. Taking inspiration from the sophistication of the 1920s and the creativity and glamour of the 1960s, the design scheme draws from a warm, rich color palette and feature refined, Art Deco-style detailing, walnut panelling and marble and brass accents, altogether channelling the ambiance of a traditional British gentlemen’s club.
Junior Suites range from the entry level Mayfair Junior Suite (570-614 sq. ft.), with one king or two twin beds and townhouse views, to the Deluxe Mews Junior Suite (700 sq. ft.), with a private balcony and views of the neighboring mews.

Suites and Signature Suites start with the Deluxe Mews Suite (980 sq. ft.), up to the One Bedroom London Suites (~2000 sq. ft.), with a living and entertainment area, fully-equipped kitchen, study, guest powder room, and views of Mayfair.

The hotel also focuses on sustainability, and is expected to be the first five-star hotel in the UK hotel to receive a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) outstanding rating for sustainable development.
The completed hotel will host five gourmet restaurants, including Carbone Restaurant, as well as a Yabu Pushelberg-designed Asaya Spa and wellbeing facility.
