Seychelles Reopening to All Vaccinated Travelers

Seychelles Reopening to Vaccinated Travelers

.

The Seychelles is Reopening to All Vaccinated Travelers, effective immediately. Currently, only visitors from Category 1 and 2 Countries have been permitted to visit, with a negative COVID-19 PCR test result, and have been required to stay in pre-booked accommodation for 10 days before leaving the accommodation, which has effectively shut down tourism in the Seychelles.

With the new policy, visitors from anywhere in the world who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 may visit, although they must have had at least 2 weeks elapse after receiving the second dose of the vaccine, have a valid vaccination certificate in English or in French, and must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure. If the above conditions are met and the requisite documentation is uploaded in time to the Seychelles Travel Travel Authorization site, quarantine won't be required.

For those eligible to go, we recommend the Four Seasons at Desroches Island, which is newer than the other Four Seasons resort and has received excellent reviews from our clients pre-pandemic. Note that at time of writing, the resort is only offering stays in its Residence Villas, which generally require a minimum of 7 nights. Thanks to the 2021 upgraded Four Seasons Preferred Partner Benefits for Suites and Villas, TravelSort Clients can enjoy:

  • Daily full breakfast for two guests per bedroom
  • $200 credit per bedroom per stay
  • Premium internet in suites and villas

For example, guests staying in a 4 Bedroom Residence Villa would enjoy complimentary daily breakfast for 8 guests and a $800 hotel credit per stay.

Other countries, such as Taiwan, are considering similar reopening strategies, requiring even vaccinated travelers to produce a negative COVID-19 test result in order to avoid quarantine or have a reduced quarantine period.
