The Andaz Turks & Caicos has closed its final round of financing and will start construction, with expected opening in late 2025. It will be the first Andaz resort on a Caribbean island, as well as Hyatt's first property in Turks & Caicos. We're happy that it will inject additional competition in the market, as there are issues with the hard and/or soft product of many of the existing luxury hotels.
The new hotel will be located on Grace Bay at The Bight Settlement, about a 15 minute drive from Providenciales Airport (PLS) and a 7 minute drive from the Ritz-Carlton Turks & Caicos, which sadly has gotten very underwhelming reviews.
The resort will feature 59 dedicated resort rooms, as well as 170 nightly rental rooms and suites and 74 private residences.
Amenities include multiple pools overlooking Grace Bay Beach, a full-service spa, fitness studio (with classes), an outdoor yoga pavillion, tennis and water sports (snorkeling, sailing, paddle boarding, kayaking) health and wellness activities, and a kids' club.
Getting to Turks & Caicos
Turks & Caicos is less than a 4 hour flight from New York JFK on JetBlue, a 3.5 hour flight from Washington Dulles IAD on United, a 3 hour flight from Atlanta on Delta, and only a 1 hour 45 minute flight from Miami on American Airlines, with additional nonstop flights from Montreal, Toronto, Charlotte, Newark, London, Fort Lauderdale, among other cities.
