What’s the first thing you do when you enter your hotel room? For me, after quickly taking in the room, it’s looking out the window to see if there’s a great view. I’ll almost always request a high floor, and specifically ask at the front desk for a room with a nice view. Well, unless I’m recovering from jet lag—then a quiet, dark interior room is just fine!

Ironically, since I live in New York, I’ve never had a hotel room with a view of Central Park. I’ve always wanted to though, since in my opinion that’s one of the nicest views in New York, so that’s what we’re giving away: a 1-night stay at a 5-Star Hotel suite with a view of Central Park! I can’t promise which one it will be—the Ritz-Carlton Central Park, the Trump International, the Plaza, etc.—but it will be a suite with a fantastic view of Central Park.

The contest will run from September 19-September 30, 11:59pm ET, and we’ll choose the winner (and runners-up, for TravelSort credits) at random on October 1. The more entries you have (keeping in mind the twice daily limit) the better your chance of winning.
We’ll be blogging about the winner, so if you win you’ll need to sign a release and be willing to be featured on the TravelSort blog.

The Fine Print: Prize is a 1-night stay in a 5-star hotel suite with a view of Central Park, New York City. TravelSort will select the hotel. Winner may book the hotel for any night from October 3 through November 30, 2011, subject to hotel availability. Air travel and other transportation, meals, etc. are not included. Taxes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prize value is $1150-$1800 depending on the date that the winner books the hotel.
