Hyatt Privé is Hyatt's Preferred Partner Program, providing special benefits to TravelSort Clients when booking select Park Hyatt, Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency and Andaz hotels and resorts, as well as some properties in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. While many of these hotels are Virtuoso, not all of them are–not even all the Park Hyatts–so this is a great way to enjoy Virtuoso-like benefits at several upscale Hyatt properties that are not Virtuoso members. Here are the details:
Hyatt Privé Benefits
- Welcome amenity
- Complimentary full breakfast for up to 2 in-room guests
- $100 hotel credit at Park Hyatt hotels; $50 or $100 hotel credit depending on the property for participating Andaz, Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency hotels, once during the stay.
- Priority upgrade: confirmed within 24 hours of TravelSort's request depending on forecasted occupancy
- Priority for connecting room availability
- Early check-in / late check-out confirmed within 24 hours of TravelSort's request depending on forecasted occupancy
FAQ
So Hyatt Privé Upgrades Are Confirmed AHEAD of Hyatt Globalist Upgrades?
Yes; Globalist upgrades are based on availability at time of check-in. With Hyatt Privé, the upgrade is confirmed within 24 hours of TravelSort making the upgrade request, at time of booking.
.
Which Hyatt Properties Participate?
As of 2024, over 350 of Hyatt's more upscale properties participate; TravelSort Clients can contact us to find out if the Hyatt they're interested in participates in either Virtuoso or Hyatt Prive.
.
Do I Still Earn Hyatt Points for Hyatt Privé Stays?
Absolutely; your World of Hyatt number can be added to both Virtuoso and Hyatt Prive stays to earn points.
.
Do All Stays and Rates Qualify?
No; you must book a qualifying Hyatt Prive rate for the benefits to apply (generally this rate is the same as the best available flexible rate). Hyatt Prive privileges may not be combined with other promotions or special offers. Additionally, stays at participating Grand Hyatt, Hyatt Regency and Unbound Collection by Hyatt properties must be for 2 nights or longer for benefits to apply. Stays may be any length for participating Park Hyatt, Andaz, Thompson, and Miraval properties.
.
Do Upgrades Include Room to Suite?
No; as with most programs, upgrades are room to room, or suite to suite. Typically there are no confirmed upgrades to premium suites but some hotels have made exceptions for our clients!
.
Bottom Line
If you've been wondering why Hyatt doesn't have a preferred partner program, akin to Four Seasons Preferred Partner, Mandarin Oriental Fan Club, Starwood Luxury Privileges, and Shangri-La Luxury Circle, here's your answer–it does, in the form of Hyatt Privé. And, as with Virtuoso, the benefit is that it's not tied to a particular credit card, as is AMEX FHR, so you can earn 3X Ultimate Rewards points on all bookings with your Chase Sapphire Reserve, in addition to World of Hyatt points.

Question: You said upgrades are room to room, or suite to suite. If we book a suite and the next available suite is indeed available, is the upgrade to the next suite confirmable within 24 hours?
In other words, hypothetically, if I book the Diplomat Suite then I would be confirmed to the Ambassador Suite (assuming it’s the next level up and it’s available) within 24 hrs?
Yes, as long as the Hyatt hotel doesn’t forecast very high occupancy during your dates. During peak season or other high occupancy dates, Hyatt hotels can opt to not confirm the upgrade at booking, and it will be based on availability at time of check-in.
Hi Hilary, I have been following your posts for many years but haven’t used your service yet as we don’t normally stay in luxury resorts. However, my son is planning a honeymoon to Kauai (i.e. Grand Hyatt Kauai). He does not have any elite status yet. If I pay with points for his stay, he would not have to pay for resort fees, correct? He would have to pay for foods and spa. How does booking through you compared? Thank you for your time! Tara
Hi Tara, World of Hyatt waives resort fees for free night awards, but not for Points + Cash awards. If we were to make a paid reservation for him with Hyatt Prive benefits, the resort fee would be charged, but he would enjoy these Prive benefits: a room upgrade at time of booking (if not during a high occupancy period; otherwise subject to availability at check-in); daily complimentary breakfast for two; a welcome amenity; one $100 hotel credit during the stay, and complimentary WiFi. If he has time to island hop, I highly recommend a stay, even if a short… Read more »
