This Guess the Hotel Edition is “Old Town Splendor,” given the hotel's prime location in its city's old town, in which the oldest building dates back to the 10th century. The hotel itself, of course isn't that old, although part of it does date back to the 16th century. Even before we stepped inside, my son was already intrigued by the sculpture of a couple kids on a bench.
Inside, my eyes were drawn to the gorgeous array of fresh flowers in the lobby.
We were warmly greeted at reception, and escorted to our room, which featured high ceilings, a soothing blue color palette, and an incredibly comfortable bed.
My son was excited to see some welcome sweets for him, as well as a puzzle.
As his mother, I was happy to see the hotel had thought of everything, and even provided a kid's toothbrush and toothpaste!
Lovely adult welcome amenities included a bottle of local red wine, fresh fruit, and this beautiful box:
Inside were some of the best dark chocolate truffles I've ever tasted:
After a 3 hour fascinating private guided walk around city, I was very happy to relax in the Spa's Vitality Pool, using hydrotherapy on my aching muscles.
The next morning, we enjoyed an early al fresco breakfast before heading to the airport.
Even my always hungry 10-year old couldn't finish the delicious, freshly baked giant serving of Belgian waffles for breakfast.
We were treated to iconic views from our breakfast table; some of the hotel's rooms and suites also feature this view.
Even if you don't have time for a full breakfast before you have to run to meetings or to the airport, there's a thoughtful offering of morning coffee, tea, fruit and pastries near the elevators, so you can grab a little something and go.
Can you guess the luxury hotel and the place?
