The Four Seasons San Francisco at Embarcadero will be a second Four Seasons location in San Francisco, opening in 2020. It will be in the old Mandarin Oriental San Francisco (current Loews Regency San Francisco) at 345 California Center, after undergoing a thorough renovation of all 155 rooms and suites, corridors and public areas. It's a great rebrand in a city that badly needs better and newer luxury hotel options.
The “bones” of the building are good, with fantastic views of the San Francisco skyline, Golden Gate Bridge, Transamerica Tower and Bay, thanks to the hotel being located on the top 11 floors of the building (San Francisco's 4th tallest building).
But the hotel's interiors definitely need a refresh, and service wasn't a strong point of Loews Regency, judging by our stay there. Following the renovation, the new Four Seasons San Francisco at Embarcadero will have an all day dining restaurant and bar, a new fitness center, and spa treatment rooms (although no swimming pool; the other Four Seasons San Francisco permits adult guest access to Equinox, and the St. Regis San Francisco has a swimming pool).
Once opened, TravelSort clients will enjoy Four Seasons Preferred Partner benefits, including top priority for a space available upgrade at time of check-in, complimentary breakfast for two daily, and a $100 dining credit once during the stay.
