San Francisco hasn't had a new luxury hotel open in over 10 years, and there are surprisingly limited options in the luxury segment given the size and wealth of the greater San Francisco Bay area and the business that it attracts. That's why, if you plan to visit the city by the Bay, it pays to plan ahead and take advantage of these Virtuoso and preferred partner offers, available to all TravelSort Clients. Notably absent from the promotions is the Ritz-Carlton San Francisco, which has a very good Club Lounge and was among the most recently renovated of its competitors.

FYI, the St Regis is planning to undergo renovation of rooms/suites and public spaces at some point in later 2018 from what I hear.
