Several Travel AMEX Offers Will Expire Soon, at the End of the Year, from Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Ritz-Carlton and Other Marriott Luxury Brands, Mandarin Oriental, and Celebrity Cruises. Keep in mind that it could be worth front loading spend on a cruise or hotel stay, to trigger the offers; just make sure the payment is processed well in advance of the offer expiration date, to be sure you earn the statement credit or Membership Rewards points.
1. Regent Seven Seas Cruises: Get 30,000 Membership Rewards for $1000+ Spend
Expires: 12/31/19
Maximize the Offer: TravelSort Clients reserving a cruise of at least $9000 before tax/port charges are eligible for our Award Booking Service. Select cruises enjoy Virtuoso Voyages benefits, such as a complimentary shore excursion or shipboard credit. Alternatively, AMEX Platinum and AMEX Centurion cardholders can still enjoy their cruise benefits (for Centurion, this is $500 shipboard credit per stateroom, for cruises of 5+ nights) booking through TravelSort, while also getting award booking assistance.
There's also a spend $1000, get $300 back offer, so if you have both offers, on two different cards, or your spouse/partner has one offer and you have another, you could split payments among the cards. For example, one of my cruise clients is using 3 different AMEX cards to pay $3000 towards his Regent Seven Seas cruise and earn $600 back plus 30,000 AMEX Membership Rewards points. Since AMEX cards don't yet (in 2019) provide any travel insurance, the final payment balance will most likely go on this client's Chase Sapphire Reserve card, so as to have trip cancellation and trip interruption insurance.
