This Air Italy A330 Business Class Review is my husband's, from his 2019 Milan MXP to New York JFK flight. We reserved the flight using British Airways Avios, after an AMEX 40% transfer bonus to British Airways Avios. The flight departed Milan Malpensa at 11:35am and arrived at New York JFK at 2:35pm, a 9 hour flight. My husband's review follows, including in the video:
I recently flew on an afternoon flight on Air Italy Business Class from Milan to LA. The plane was a little late in departing; but everyone still lined up half an hour in advance. I was directed to the wrong aisle for my seat, which was 2E, an aisle seat in the middle column.

Air Italy A330 Business Class Cabin and Seat Selection
The Business Class cabin consists of 24 seats in a 2-2-2 configuration. This is fine for couples, although not ideal for solo passengers. Because my husband prefers an aisle seat and often gets up to stretch his legs, I reserved 2E for him, so that he'd have both direct aisle access and wouldn't have a seatmate climbing over him when his seat was fully reclined.

Air Italy A330 Business Class Seats
Air Italy's A330s are from Qatar Airways, which owns a 49% stake. It's not surprising, then, to see the same maroon colored seats as on Qatar Airways planes, also matching the maroon color in the Qatar Airways livery.
Seats are 22 inches wide, with ample legroom when seated. There was a large pillow and duvet at each seat, and the cabin was completely full.

The seat controls are on the armrest:

Power outlets aren't convenient; they're below the knee level, located between pairs of seats:

Prior to takeoff, I was offered my choice of water, champagne and orange juice.

The Verdict
Overall the Air Italy business class product was very good, for a business class flight between Europe and the U.S. (my expectations are higher between the U.S. and Asia, given great products such as JAL Sky Suite Business Class, Cathay Pacific Business Class, etc.). The Air Italy Business Class seat, while not a true flat bed due to its slight angle, was otherwise comfortable for sitting or reclining and watching films. For a night flight, I'd definitely want a mattress pad, however. The food and service were perfectly fine, and above average relative to other Europe-U.S. Business Class, given the quality of the caprese salad appetizer, the main (apart from the slightly overcooked fish) and the cheese plate, plus the dine on demand aspect, similar to Qatar Business Class.
